Tutorial and Outlook


This week, I made another submenu for a tutorial screen. In it, I show a brief introduction, followed by the controls, the interface an             d some gameplay aspects, including the use of arrows to hack generators and mines, as well as the different components of ships.

I also made the game ready for shipping, recorded two gameplay videos (which I cut to a more digestible length) and created this itch.io page. I will end on a few gameplay elements that I would embark on creating if I had more time.

The initial vision that I had of this game was one where the player acts as a bounty hunter, loosely associated with one of the factions. The ship would be equipped with a grappling hook, which could be used to rip away enemy ship parts, steal resources and enter enemy vessels. To this end, there would be more distinguished resources, such as crew and equipment, which could be used to upgrade the vessel and capture enemy ships. Further, there would be several space stations across the map where one could sell and buy resources.

Another idea would be to make this into a multiplayer game, but that is something which at this point is out of my depth and would take a long time to implement.
